To the north, an eerie, sulphurous-green sheen begins to ripple into the night sky. It arcs itself into an ebb and flow, slowly growing, then suddenly bursts across the full expanse of the night sky waving and dancing as if it were happy. It’s the spectacular and mystical Northern Lights and viewings such as the one above are common in the Yukon. Northern Lights viewing activities take place outside the city. A heated, cozy cabin or wall tent is available for your comfort. Hot drinks and snacks are provided. During the day you can “spice-up” your winter experience by booking half or full day tours of dog mushing, snowmobiling, ice fishing & snowshoeing or sample it all with our popular “Winter Adventure Activity Package”. Day 1 - We'll welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel in downtown Whitehorse.The hotel is located within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores.Information meeting and registration for optional tours at the hotel. Fitting of winter clothing(optional), time for shopping and dinner on your own. 10pm departure for Aurora viewing. A cozy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks makes your Aurora viewing even more enjoyable. Return to hotel around 2.30 am.
Day 2- Sleep in the morning.10.00am city tour with Main Street, Train Depot of the White Pass and Yukon Route,Log Skyscraper, Log Church,Sternwheeler SS Klondike, Fishladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. Afternoon optional tour. 10 pm departure for Aurora viewing. Again, in a warm-up cabin hot drinks and snacks are provided. You may sit around a roaring fire and share stories. Return to hotel around 2.30am.Day 3 (and Day 4): Morning at your leisure. Afternoon optional tour. 10 pm departure for Aurora viewing. Return to hotel around 2.30 am.
