Dawson City is renowned for its pivotal role in the Klondike Gold Rush. It thrives as a bustling tourist destination during the summer months, but come winter, it undergoes a remarkable transformation into a tranquil winter retreat. This is when you have the golden opportunity to embrace the unique character of this charming northern town, away from the crowds.

Itinerary/Overview includes:

  • Return flight to Whitehorse on Air North Yukon's Airline
  • Day 1: Upon arrival in Whitehorse, take a shuttle to your hotel. you have time to check in and get settled in your northern accommodations. Take time for fitting winter clothing (if renting, optional), shopping and dinner on your own. We depart at 10.00 pm for Aurora viewing. A cozy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks will make your Aurora viewing even more enjoyable. Return to the hotel around 2:30 am.
  • Day 2-4: Your Dawson adventure begins with a very scenic flight from Whitehorse on Air North. Right away you will know you are in for something special as you soar over the frozen and rugged northern landscape. Upon arrival you will be transported to Dawson Lodge, your Accommodation for the next 3 nights. Dawson is a walkable city full of eclectic charm and quirky character. While the town sees plenty of tourists in the summer, you’ll find it quiet and authentic in the winter months. Stroll the cool boardwalk streets with old facades that will have you believing you’ve stepped back in time to the Gold Rush era. Keep your camera handy at all times as there are plenty of photo opportunities around town. The next 4 days allow you time to visit the must see and the more remote places around Dawson. Included are two guide opportunities to view the Aurora Borealis at night at an intimate viewing site in West Dawson. To fill your days you can choose to joining a city and gold fields tour and dive into Dawson’s gold rush history. Perhaps you would like to try your hand at snowmobiling or you can join a guided day tour along the famous Dempster Highway to see Tombstone Territorial Park. You may also wish to discover Dawson’s amazing local food culture. We suggest a visit to Bon Ton & Company, a restaurant that serves amazing locally sourced food in a contemporary setting that rivals eateries in Vancouver or Toronto.
  • Day 5: Return to Whitehorse. Today it's time to say goodbye to Dawson. You’ll have some time today to take one last look around the historic streets of Dawson City. In the afternoon we will transfer you from your hotel to the airport where you will catch your flight back to Whitehorse. Tonight you will enjoy one last night of free time in the Yukon's capital. If you wish you could head out for one last aurora tour (additional charge) for another chance to view the Northern Lights.
  • Day 6: Shuttle transfer to the airport for your flight home

Engage in spirited conversations with the locals over drinks at the bar, revel in the thrill of snowmobiling, or embark on a guided tour to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of the Tombstone Territorial Park.
