The magic of the Yukon comes to life on this 4-day northern adventure. Spend your days exploring Whitehorse from your centrally located hotel, enjoy a guided city tour and head out on optional daytime adventures such as ice fishing, snowshoeing or dogsledding. In the warmer months, you can enjoy hiking and fishing.

Itinerary/Overview includes:

  • Return flight to Whitehorse on Air North Yukon's Airline
  • Day 1: Welcome to Whitehorse! You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel in downtown Whitehorse. The hotel is located within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores. We will have an informational meeting and registration for optional tours at the hotel. Take time for fitting winter clothing (if renting, optional), shopping and dinner on your own. We depart at 10.00 pm for Aurora viewing. A cozy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks will make your Aurora viewing even more enjoyable. Return to the hotel around 2:30 am. Overnight at Best Western Gold Rush Inn (or similar)
  • Day 2: City Tour & Aurora Viewing. Sleep in the morning. At 10.00 am, join us for a tour of Whitehorse where you'll explore some of the city's top sights: Main Street, Train Depot of the White Pass and Yukon Route, Visitor Reception Center, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, Sternwheeler SS Klondike, Fish ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. There is also an optional afternoon tour. We will depart at 10 pm for Aurora viewing. Again, hot drinks and snacks are provided in the warm-up cabin. You may sit around a roaring fire and share stories. Return to the hotel around 2:30 am. Overnight at Best Western Gold Rush Inn (or similar)
  • DAY 3: Optional Tour & Aurora Viewing.  Morning at your leisure. An optional tour in the afternoon tour. Once again, we will depart at 10.00 pm for Aurora viewing as with the previous two night. You'll return to the hotel around 2:30 am. Overnight at Best Western Gold Rush Inn (or similar)
  • DAY 4: Departure. Shuttle transfer to the airport for your flight home.

At night, we will whisk you away from the city lights to a cozy cabin or wall tent with an outdoor platform for an unobstructed view of the Aurora Borealis. You’ll have three chances to view the mystical Northern Lights on this trip.  Warm up with a coffee or tea as you wait by the fire for the Aurora show to start: an eerie green sheen that ripples into the night sky and arcs slowly to suddenly burst across the full expanse of the sky — nature at its best!
