With the Aurora Borealis dancing overhead and Yukon’s snow-capped mountains in the distance, you’ll be mesmerized by the spectacular scenery on this 4-day winter getaway. Amazing food, a cozy atmosphere and spectacular Yukon scenery await visitors to this northern lodge on a lake, just 55 kilometres south of Whitehorse.
Itinerary/Overview includes:
- Return flight to Whitehorse on Air North Yukon's Airline
- Day 1: Welcome to Whitehorse! You’ll be picked up at the airport and if time allows, your guide will give you a city driving tour of Whitehorse before heading to the lakefront lodge. Surrounded by high mountains, immense forests and the beauty of Marsh Lake, this lodge is the perfect spot to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature. You'll enjoy three nights of relaxation and pampering – all with the beautiful northern scenery as your backdrop. Indulge in a gourmet 3-course meal served in the dining area and then step outside to enjoy the expansive view of the night sky. If conditions are right, you'll have a show of the dancing Aurora Borealis overhead.
- Day 2: After a delicious breakfast to fuel your day, you'll set out on a snowmobiling adventure. After a ride up to Caribou Lake, try your luck with ice fishing, rest around the campfire on the lake or hit the puck on a natural ice rink. This activity might be moved to a different day depending on weather or your desired schedule. You’ll return from your daily adventure to a gourmet 3-course meal served family style in the beautiful dining room overlooking the lake. In the evenings, simply step out of your room and look up at the sky to see the dancing Aurora Borealis. Or soak up the sights as you soak in the outdoor hot tub. This is a great way to experience the Northern Lights if you like the idea of having your own comfortable room to return to anytime you wish.
- Day 3: After another great breakfast, head outdoors to explore the property or enjoy some time relaxing indoors. You can enjoy winter activities such as snowshoeing through the boreal forest (included) or even take a trip to Whitehorse if you’d like a tour of the historic sites or to visit some of the shops and museums in the city (additional cost). Enjoy one more night of amazing dining as you enjoy a 3-course dinner and evening Aurora viewing.
- Day 4: After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport in Whitehorse.
This package includes three delicious meals per day made with fresh local ingredients, such as sockeye salmon or boreal berries. The menu changes daily but always reflects the pillars of Yukon cuisine. Meals are served in a relaxed atmosphere with emphasis on quality food and gorgeous scenery.
